We bought this as an Xmas present for our niece and she loved it so much, she stopped opening presents and immediately started playing with this. She had fun building it and playing with the characters inside. She kept going back to play with it the entire visit.Definitely a great gift for a younger girl and a good price!

Adorable!Got this for my ten year old sister for her birthday and she’s having a blast with it! The instructions are easy to follow and she didn’t need any help. She made three items so far and it’s obvious how her skills have increased in just those 3!

My almost 8 year old is super into Legos and stem stuff and this was great! He has spent hours rebuilding and reracing the cars! Would buy again

Darling water color set for tween girls. The pictures are fun and modern and the instructions are clear. A great gift for an artsy kid.

My 5 year old grandson loves sewing. This kit has everything needed to keep a young child entertained. It is easy to use and so much fun. The sewing needles are plastic so I don't need to worry about him sticking himself or me. The end product is cute too. Highly recommend.

Clear, good-humored instructions and satisfyingly weighty beanbags. I was juggling within three days of the book's arrival.

Klutz began in 1977 in Palo Alto, California, when three friends tied bean bags to a book about juggling. It sold, mostly because you could open it and start dropping things straight away.
Every kit since has followed the same rule. The book comes with exactly what the project needs, the directions are written for the person actually doing the making, and the jokes in the margins are free.
The red seal says 100% Klutz certified. It means somebody here built the thing, got glue on a sleeve, rewrote step four, and built it again.
Who stocks the shelfStart with the age on the box. After that, follow whatever they will not stop talking about: dogs, LEGO, dragons, dessert.
A tray or a baking sheet keeps beads and clay crumbs in one place. That is the only prep.
Our steps are written for kids. Step in for the oven and the sharp needle, and otherwise stay out of the way.
A book of step-by-step instructions and the materials for the projects in it: clay, felt, floss, LEGO elements, paints or whatever that craft calls for. A few kits need ordinary household things too, such as an oven for oven-bake clay, scissors or a fork. Each kit page lists what is in the box.
Klutz Jr. kits start at four. Most art and sticker kits suit six and up, clay and LEGO kits eight and up, and the Sew Mini kits with a real needle are best from ten. The age on each page is the one we suggest for working mostly alone; younger kids can join in with a helper.
Yes. LEGO Gear Bots, LEGO Gadgets, LEGO Race Cars, LEGO Gravity Drop and LEGO Mini Golf include the elements needed for every build in the book. LEGO Chain Reactions includes its special elements and also uses a handful of basic bricks from your own collection.
Mini Clay World Cute Café, Make Clay Charms and Make Your Own Mini Erasers use clay that is baked in a home oven with an adult’s help. Air-Dry Clay Animal Party and Whipped Clay Froyo Shop harden on their own in the open air.
No. Every sewing book starts with threading the needle and the two or three stitches the projects use. Patterns, felt, floss, needles and stuffing are included.
Klutz craft kits are book-and-materials sets for children from about four to twelve. Each one teaches a single skill, such as sewing a felt plushie, sculpting polymer clay, braiding a lanyard or building a LEGO chain reaction, and includes everything needed to complete the projects in the book. That makes a Klutz kit an easy gift: nothing else has to be bought, and the child can begin the same afternoon.
For ages four to six, look at Klutz Jr. kits such as My Simple Sewing and My Pom-Pom Pet Shop, which use plastic needles, pre-punched felt and pre-made pom-poms. From six, art kits like Watercolor Dreams, Pastel Studio and Paint & Peel Jelly Stickers work well, along with Cat’s Cradle and Kids Cooking.
From eight, the range opens up. Mini Clay World kits, Make Clay Charms and Make Your Own Mini Erasers suit kids who like small details. Klutz LEGO kits, including LEGO Chain Reactions, LEGO Gadgets, LEGO Gear Bots and LEGO Race Cars, are STEM activity kits that explain gears, cams and gravity through building. Sew Mini Treats and Sew Mini Animals are a first step into hand sewing for ages ten and up.
On this site every kit has its own page with what is in the box, the age we suggest, the price at our last check and real reviews from families. When you have chosen, the buy button takes you to the kit’s listing at our partner store, where today’s price and delivery options are shown.
